Home Grown
Brunch with a Story to Tell
Your favourite brunch spot is celebrating its roots. OEB was established in Calgary, Alberta, in 2009 and has grown across Canada by focusing on local Canadian suppliers for the freshest ingredients and putting community at the heart of everything we do.
Learn more about our suppliers, each with their own story to tell. And read about this year’s Home Grown Hero, Phil Alain, founder of Amy’s House.
Every ingredient on an OEB plate has a story and real people behind it. We want to put those stories front and centre, from family-run farms to craft bakeries that have been doing things the right way for decades. Click on any of these suppliers to learn more!
When we launched the Home Grown Hero Contest, we asked our guests to nominate someone who makes a meaningful difference in their community. We intentionally kept the definition of “hero” open-ended because we know heroes come in many forms. We wanted to celebrate the full spectrum of incredible Canadians we’re proud to serve breakfast, brunch, and lunch to every day.
