After a bit of an adventure trying to find somewhere downtown to sit down for a proper breakfast on a holiday morning, I ended up at OEB Breakfast Co. — and I’m glad I did.

The breakfast was excellent: eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, potatoes and toast. Exactly the kind of real breakfast I was looking for.

But what stood out just as much was how I was treated.

Solina was fantastic. Friendly, welcoming and made me feel completely comfortable being there.

I’m currently living in a homeless shelter while rebuilding my life after a brain injury. I travel with my backpack and laptop, and having somewhere I could sit down, plug in, eat a good meal and work for a while meant more to me than most people would probably realize.

I opened the laptop, wrote some articles, did some work and hopefully educated a few people along the way.

Nobody made me feel rushed. Nobody made me feel like I didn’t belong.

Just good food, a comfortable environment and good human treatment.

Sometimes hospitality is more than serving somebody breakfast.

Sometimes it’s simply giving somebody a table and making them feel welcome at it.

Thank you, Solina and OEB. I’ll be back.

Many OEB locations use the Yelp waitlist system to help guests join the queue conveniently before arrival. Reservation and waitlist availability may vary by location, so we recommend checking your local OEB page for the most up-to-date information and hours.

Some guest favourites include our signature breakfast poutines like Soul in a Bowl, Chicken & Waffles, and any of our eggs bennys topped with our famous brown butter hollandaise. If it’s your first visit, our team is always eager to recommend a crowd favourite or seasonal feature.

Brown butter hollandaise is our take on a classic brunch staple. Traditional hollandaise is made with butter, egg yolks, and lemon, while brown butter hollandaise uses butter that has been slowly cooked until it develops a rich, nutty flavour. The result is a deeper, more savoury sauce that adds extra richness to brunch favourites like eggs benedict.

Sourcing high-quality ingredients and partnering with local producers whenever possible brings us so much joy! From farm-fresh eggs and produce to artisan ingredients and Canadian maple syrup, we believe great food starts with great sourcing. Supporting local communities and showcasing quality ingredients are core parts of the OEB experience. You can visit our supplier page to learn more.

Breakfast should be an experience, not just a meal. At OEB, we thoughtfully source our ingredients and curate dishes that are innovative yet familiar. The ambience is polished, inviting, and exciting. And our team is knowledgeable, hospitable and welcoming. We’re passionate about redefining brunch.

Mhm! We offer a wide range of dietary options, including gluten-friendly, vegetarian, and vegan dishes. The OEB team is happy to help walk you through the menu and accommodate modifications wherever possible. When you meet your server, let them know if you have any dietary requirements, restrictions, or allergies!
